Ok, I've got an Auto '89 HB with about 135k on it and have a couple questions about my kind of annyoing transmission. First, I'm not planning on doing the Auto-Manual swap utnil this summer when I get my RB25. Second, the transmission *loves* to, how can I say this, jump into second gear. It's really quite annoying and I'd like to know if there's some semi-inexpensice way for me to put an end to that. Upgraded solenoids? Flush? ($$) It doesn't really slip, only hesitates to shift on other gears sometimes, but 2nd is the big prob that I'd like to fix.
And one more thing, is there some way (wire to cut maybe?) to let the transmission put all the power to the ground in 1st gear in lower RPMs so I can "launch" a bit better?

I mean the auto transmission doens't apply all the power that a manual does in first gear when starting off from idle. It's just the way that the transimission is setup, so you can't burnout - even if you wanted to. (without brake launching) After about 2200 RPMs or something, you can feel the transmission let loose and with pedal to the floor, I'm pinned in my seat....but before that, it feels like I'm going up an 80 degree incline.
