Auto transmission going bad?

90 240sx Hatch Auto

When I put it into drive from park, it takes like 1 sec, then it will kinda jerk into gear. When Im driving and its going from 1st to 2nd, it jerks. And its either 1st to 2nd or 3rd to 4th when it shifts and its soft, but in under a second, it feels like its slipping and you can feel it catch grip (very faint, but to the owner you can feel it) finally and it pulls.

Any ideas?

How long do you think this transmission will last? I dont really drive it hard (in the process of upgrading suspension). I know jack $hit about rebuilding transmission's. Whats an estimated price to rebuild it? Im thinking of doing a manual swap since I'd have to drop the transmission anyway...

Bring it to a pro, costs a couple hundred bucks...or try source one from a junkyard.

if you haven't done it already, flushing/changing the fluid and filter will do wonders for your transmission.
