ok here's the deal: auto trans car with manual trans, engine, and wiring harness. the harness runs from the ecu on the right of the car all the way around to the drivers side into the fuse box and on up into the ignition switch. the car is not equipped with the wires that tell the car to start when the clutch is mashed in, therefore it won't start. (that's my theory anyway) there has to be some wires somewhere that I can jumper or something to get this thing to start how can I fool this car into thinking the clutch pedal is mashed??

okay first is this a S13 or a S14?

My S13 does not have a clutch interlock switch like you are mentioning. It could be another problem: did you jumper your neutral saftey switch?

s14. I've had a number of people try to tell me where the neutral safety switch is, and apparently it's different on an s14 because I can't find it. I can't find a connector anywhere with just a black and white wire on it. maybe I'm not looking in the right place...

simplest thing in the swap.

the auto transmission harness that plugs in behind the fuse box, look at it. the top plug has two wires comeing out of it splice these together and the car will start

This was a nightmare for me as well. There is a whole post around here somewhere where I was hunting that plug down (turned out it was hiding under the fuse box) with pics and everything. This was on a S13 though.

If you dont have those wires jumpered, the car wont start no matter what you do. Worry about those first and then think about solving other issues if there are any.

EDIT: by the way, on the S13 at least the wire colors are black/yellow and black/white (top of this diagram, plug E12):

go here for a bigger pic of the diagram: http://www.afreeimagehost.com/...g.JPG

They could be different on the S14 but I would doublecheck the colors you're looking for.... And find a S14 wiring diagram (if its different, I dont know if it is) to track it down. Its not to hard once you know where to look...

Good luck dude.

I just edited my post ^^

If you really have a full manual wiring harness in your engine bay (which I doubt but its possible I guess), then this shouldnt be an issue.

Easiest thing to do to find this plug is to trace the Black/Yellow back from the starter.

Behind the fuse box...there are 4 plugs. It's the one on top...twist those 2 wires together.

Should look like this when you're done:
