Ok in your write up tenkawa_akito you say "Find the passenger side fuse box. If you look at it, it will have 4 plugs hanging off of it. 3 large plugs, and a small 2 wire plug (it's not visible in the picture except by the two wires connected by the yellow splice)."
Now when you said small what did you mean. The wires are bigger than any of the other 3 plugs there and the connector is just as big as any of them. So what did you mean? But I do understand which one it is now. And to tell the truth what I'm going to do is take the plug and wires (male side) from the AT transmission for that plug and then run the wires to my clutch padel and hook them up as a clutch safety switch. So that way you have to press in the clutch to start it. I have a habbit of pressing in the clutch when I start anyways (my vr4 is a manual and almost all the other cars I drive are manuals) but its not a bad thing to have and since I'm using the plug and wires off the AT transmission it will look like it hasn't been touched. Then for the back up lights what I'm going to do is take the inhibitor switch plug and wires (connector w/ wires male side) off of the AT transmission (just like the neutral wiring) and plug that back in. Then what I'll do is run thoughs wires down to the back up light sensor plug/connector (at transmission) and put a matching female connector off of my SOHC harness (I'm putting in a DOHC so the SOHC harness is waste) and put the wires on that connector then plug it into the sensor side conector and then I have a factory looking system. Now I bet your wondering about the other 6 wires on the inhibitor right? Well simple, I'll just cut thoughs wires so only pin 3 and 8 are going down to the transmission and use the pin 3 and 8 wires (as I talked about before) and put them into the plug. Make since?
I'm going to do I detailed write up on how I'm going to do it with pictures. If all goes well it will look like nothing has been touched and work awesome. And I'll still have everything using connectors.
