What do I need to convert an auto to a Manual. I already got the manual transmission so I need all other parts to make it work. Thanks

I asked about doing that a long time ago. As far as I know, you need the transmission (which you have) but you are probably also going to have to change the console inside the car, valves, and lots of other stuff. Its a pretty lengthy process :-\

You'll need;

Manual transmission crossmemberManual drive shaft (propeller shaft, the auto is too long and the yoke is too big)Manual clutch and brake pedals (or you can cut the brake pedals down to size)Master clutch cylinderClutch hard line (the metal tube that runs from the master cylinder to the slave cylinder on the manual transmission)Bleeder line (or you can bypass this by just getting a SS flex hose) And manual transmission with flywheel, clutch...............

You'll also need tools to drill some holes in the firewall for the clutch and you'll have to deal with some wiring issuses. (sp).

I'll have some parts left over from my swap also.

the driveshaft, would that be the front or rear? They asked me that when I ordered and i got the rear, hopefully it's the one that I need. Do I need a propeller shaft as well? You forgot to mention the clutch and brake pedals. Thanks a lot though

read my post again. You need the front part of the propeller shaft (AKA the driveshaft). Thats the shaft that runs from your transmission to your diff.

Also, you need a clutch slave cylinder, shifter, center console piece where the shifter comes up, the shift boot (rubber one underneath the leather one, attached to a metal plate), and shift knob.

Uh...yeah....*IF* it's there. I was stating the parts you need. The slave cylinder and transmission are two different parts ;)

Well, i was told that the master cyl. wouldn't work on my s14 so I was just making sure that I need a S14 slave one as well...

What master cylinder won't work? If you have an S14, an S14 master cylinder is *going* to work. You have to drill through the firewall for it, but it will work. There is a cutout template on the inside of the firewall on automatics for the master cylinder. Just cut out the template, and bolt on the master cylinder.

See, I have an automatic so I never had the master nor slave cylinders. The clip that i bought is SR20DET REDTOP, which is an S13. I was told that S13 Master Cylinder wouldn't work, but the slave would. Sorry for not giving out the topic clear enough.

Again...I ordered a rear driveshaft...I think I might have ordered it wrong....I will post a picture of it soon to see if i got hte right one or not.

I see, so you have an S14 auto, but bought an S13 SR w/ manual transmission. Yeah, I don't know the diff between an S13 and S14 master cylinder, but safe bet would be to use the S14 master since you have an S14. And S13 slave (I think the slaves are the same), because you have an S13 transmission. That's the safe way to go about it. Plus, sounds like you already have the S13 slave.

Get the S14 master, and S14 hard lines.
