auto to manual swap wont start. Help

Hey I recently droped a newer dohc in my 91 Fastback and also I did a 5 speed swap bbut I can't get it to start. When I turn the key it doesn't crank I can hear something happpen in the engine bay like fuel running through the lines but no crank. I crossed the the fat wires on the bottom of the fuse box so it can think its in park and also the reverse lights but I haven't wired up the neutral positon switch the one near the the shifter. Any ideas on what to try would be very helpful

Nobody? If theres no click of the starter does that mean its bad

I went through the same problem ...I just grabbed my volt meter and tested to see witch fat wire had 12v only when cranking, I think its black /white stripe and ran that to starter solynoid. Now I don't even need to push the Clutch in to start.

Thanks that would work, but now I got the starter to click, loud too but that's its just one big click but it doesn't Turn the engine over. Any more ideas

Check the main power cable that goes from positive terminal to starter for corrosion or looseness. Also check your ground cable and make sure it goes, battery, chassis, intake manifold. Or block.

Are you using the NSS mounted on the clutch switch? Or did you complete that circuit atleast?

Unbolt your starter, move it, shim it, and reinstall. if that dosent work, you need a new starter.
