its just a clutch switch(interlock switch). It is wired to ground. when you depress clutch, you close switch and send ground to the interlock relay. I dont know if you are using the interlock relay or the inhibitor relay from automatic. the relay needs ground and 12v+ to close relay switch and send power to starter.

see the black relay in above picture:

1. ground from clutch switch2. 12v+ from ignition3. 12v+ from ignition4. nothing5. 12v+ going to starter solenoid

note: the 12v+ from ignition is one wire that branches at relay.

there might be a way to use existing wires and interlock switch and relay.my way would mean cutting all the existing wires for interlock switch and relay.

thanks man, ur helping me out aloti think i know how it works.

since there is two wires coming from the clutch switch. so one goes to a ground and the other goes to: 1. ground from clutch switch. (on the relay) if thats right how would i know which wire to hack into?

clear it up for me if im wrong.

That's right. I'm not sure what you mean by " which wire to hack into". "1" is terminal "1" on the relay. You just have a ground wire going to terminal "1" on the relay( per the picture), interrupted by the clutch switch. All the wiring would have to be new wire. I dont know how people do the auto to 5speed conversion.
