Auto To Manual swap - pedal work

so I just picked up this 89 coupe/auto, need to switch to manual and I'm buying all the parts to do swap but I'm curious, do all 240sx's come with the clutch pedal braces?? I've heard rumors that its just bolt up and away you go, but I wanna hear it from the experts, come on guys. whats up??

Yep. Bolt up and you're fine. Hell the place where you drill out is marked for you as well

do you know what size the drill hole needs to be??

look up under the dash. Find the two cylindrical holes in the bracket. Find a drill bit that is a bit smaller than the bracket and go to town. For the center hole, get a 38mm (1 1/16th in) hole saw. From the inside, find the centerpoint of the embossment and drill a small pilot hole. Then go outside and finish drilling the hole.

EDIT: You'll make your life a lot easier if you have a right angle drill to do all this with.

Yes, but be aware that you need S14 specific pedals, driveshaft, etc...

If you don't want to go through the trouble of replaceing the brake petal you can always cut it down to size and place the rubber cover over it, off of a manual petal or manual brake petal.
