Alright, so many of you know of my messed up 240sx that I have just sitting here. Well I found a good solid body for 200 bucks, it needs the hood, both fenders, hatch, interior, brakes, light casings, lights, and engine. Well all that on my 240sx is pretty much mint (would just need a paint job), it'd just be a good week long project to swap all the body parts over, which is no big deal to me. Now here's my problem, the car is automatic, mine is manual. I have a good friend that would do it for me, for very cheap, so money isn't an issue, I'm just simply wondering how hard it would be to swap in a manual where a auto was, So i'd drop the auto transmission, and take out it's engine, and put in my engine and manual transmission. Would that be all i'd have to do? Or would I have to get new computer sh1t, wiring harness sh1t etc etc ?? If anyone has done this or would just know because they are 240sx car smart, please let me know, as I'd like to buy this and do it asap!!

Thanks,M.S.

It shouldn't be too hard.

i didn't have to change the ecu and didn't even use a transmission wiring harness. The down side of not using a wiring harness and bypassing the neutral saftey switch it that i have no cruise control and ne back up lights. Trying to find out which wires are which so i can hook up my reverse lights.
