nope. when I took the transmission out of my car there where TWO connections on it. NONE critical for the ECU. one was the Back-up lamp switchand the other is the Park/neutral position switchHussain wrote: now thats a very simple american car, for our cars its insane to do that swap.
Don't need to since I already have 6MT.Dexion wrote:lol, by all means go ahead.
You will need a new ECU, Transmission, Flywheel. Just off the top of my head, How much you think all 3 will cost?
First off, you can't put a RWD 350Z transmission in a FWD Altima. That out of the way, you'll need almost every harness in the engine bay, and behind the dash because Nissan uses a CAN system. This means what is available originallyisn't easily made to work in anotherLvi3tG wrote:Do you guys think its possible or a good idea to swap a 3.5 nissan altima coupe CVT auto transmission for a 02-05 350z manual transmission since the new alitima coupes have the same engine as the Z's??
Take it from someone who just did it, the short answer is no, it's not worth it. Unless you have a lot of time and a ton of extra money.XaviiG wrote:What parts would i need to change my car from auto to manual.? N is it worth it.?
A swap was done on a coupe by a member on the forum. Search the forums for keywords. I don't recall the name of the member who did the swap off hand. He'd be able to answer your questions.Xiruhvengex wrote:nobody is still answering the question range please can you just put how much was total cost
I'm one of the guys who did it which is why I said it's a bad idea. Basically plan to spend at least 12-15k for parts+labor and that's buying used parts.seldomseen wrote:A swap was done on a coupe by a member on the forum. Search the forums for keywords.
