Auto to Manual Conversion

I'm sure you guys get this alot and i'm sorry i have to ask it. Anyways i'm buying an auto transmition 240sx and in time buying the sr20det with a manual transmition. If i was to do that what would i need to do to convert the rest of it into manual? and is that even the smartest route to take? Thanks
