Been doing some research, seems that the 92-94 Acura Vigor are very close cousins to the 92-94 accords. My Vigor is an auto and the transmission is shot, seems to be a common problem for this car...So I would much rather swap it to a 5-speed than deal w/ constant auto problems.

I've found that list on top and that general walkthrough, I know the wiring will be off, but other than that, would you guys say that its a good list of a general 5-speed swap parts?

I'm also curious to see if I have to use the wiring harness from a 5-speed or if I can get away w/ wiring up the manual ECU using the Auto wiring harness....

Thanks for any info guys, I know this isn't really a Nissan, but my question's pretty much aimed at the general yes or no answer type of question.

i really don't know if you can swap them or not to tell you the truth. they may be close cousins, but the transmissions may be different.

I'm not taking ALL the parts from the accord, probably just the brake and clutch pedals if they can bolt up to the firewall.

I've been trying to see if theres a difference from the AT or the MT ECU, but car-parts.com doesnt offer me options so it MIGHT be possible that there is only 1 ECU for both the AT and MT transmission. If not, I just need to make sure I know which wires need to splice into where.......and such.

Try posting on honda boards for that. This is a Nissan board.

Close may not cut it. You may be in for new axles, and so on. I would also assume you'd need the manual harness but I'm no expert on Hondas by any means. Bring this up on Honda boards, they'll be able to give you a better idea of what you're in for.

Okay, I understand that this is a nissan board, I'm just trying to get GENERAL ANSWERS. No one seems to know on the honda boards. I've got everything I need for the swap (including the ECU and wiring harness). My question is, W/ THE 240, if you were to replace the ECU w/ the manual one, would you also have to replace the entire wiring harness?

with the 240, no the wiring does not need to be changed with an ecu change.

Cool, thanks for the answer, hopefully Honda uses the same wiring harness for both auto and manual. Ohhh, and just in case someone reading this is wondering, with Honda's, you have to switch out the ECUs. They have different fuel curves.
