Iknow that the S13 and S14 trannis are slightly different in the sensor area. No biggie I have sourced a 95 for my 95.

--what wires get spliced into the auto harness?--is the harness nessary for anything other than speedo and reverse lights?--can I use a s13 5speed driveshaft if I cannot find a s14 driveshaft?

thanx for any posted info in advance.

to answer the first two questions, you have to know if your car is obdI or obdII

if it is obdI you dont even have to do any wiring if you don't mind not having reverse lights. just jumper the nuetral switch.if its obdII, you have to hook up some other wires in order for the ecu to not throw codes.

and no you cannot use s13 driveshaft, the carrier bearing is in the wrong place

OBD makes no difference...only difference in the sensors is S13 versus S14.

But all the S14s are the same.

The reverse and speedo wires can be kept from the auto harness...and you can just run 2 new wires directly to the ECU for the neutral and 5th position switch.

Thanx for the link to your page it is full of info that I had in the back of my mind for future plans. You really need to sumit your electrical on the transmission swap to FAQ site http://www.240sx.org/faq/index.html I am sure many would find this helpful.
