Auto temperature control

Whenever I hit the AUTO button, my AC goes on automatically. Even if I put it at 90 degrees the AC feature is always lit when in AUTO?

Anyone else experience this?

Yes.

It just means that in AUTO mode, the system is ready to heat OR cool your car as required by the temp you set. It doesn't necessarily mean that the AC is on. However,the AC will come on if you press defrost.

You can press the AC button to turn it off.

You might also notice that the 4 fan direction buttons correspond to what the system is doing, i.e. lower vents only=heat, upper vents=AC. These are also adjustable. So when the cabin reaches your desired temp, the air direction shifts to the appropriate setting.

The system is complicated and a little overthought IMHO. But it seems to work well.

Check it-- AC isn't just for cooling your vehicle. It dehumidifies and whatnot too, so if you turn your vehicle's temp to 90 it still "conditions the air" (get it?)

nightrain-- I love the system. It works amazing with the windows up or down and I can set it just how I like it. I'm glad they designed it the way it is. Love it!

Has anyone noticed the foot vents are relatively weak compared with the rest of the system?

If you just want to turn the fans on and the temperature you had it set at last time is fine, then just rotate the fan speed knob to turn them on. For the longest time I was using the Auto switch to turn the fans on and it would always go to full blast with ac when all I wanted was just setting 2 or 3 with no ac
