Its illegal in the State Of California, so I would assume its illegal in other states as well. So YES, dont ask me why, it has to do with people leaving it in park while being in a hill or some crap.

I used to laugh on tools what I use in the shop. It says It could be hazardious in the State of California.?!??!?

As far as I know this is not illegal, finding someone to install it is another story. You have to make sure you leave it in neutral if you get a remote starter put on.
