IF the dealer installed the starter, have them fix it. Good Luck

A bit off topic...who's the dealer that installed this? The two I went to in MD looked at me like I had two heads when I mentioned remote start for the coupe.

The engineers and techs at the Nissan Tech Center assured me that this was not a Nissan developed option. They know of no aftermarket system that utilizes the Nissan key fob (yet).

If the OP has more info on this option I'd like to know.

Exactly what do you mean? There have been a few Altima coupes that got their dealers to install a remote start using the factory key fob... I think your "techs at Nissan Tech Center" may not have their facts right!

Which is why I ask because I love going back to them and telling them what people are doing to car in aftermarket. Several of them used to work for pro shops before and still have contacts there. But from what I've seen in Detroit so far is that the shops here are behind the times compared to your area.

The name(s) of the dealership that is doing this type of install would be a start.

I'll try to find the folks that had their dealers do the remote start... if you put in factory remote start in the search field I think it'll come up!
