auto trannies will suck the living torque out your motor, and they dont stand up as well to high horsepower unless you can find a place to sell you a performance torque converter for a RWD SR20 (good luck on that one), and auto trannies wear out faster than manual trannies too. But if you really still want one, you could try venus-auto, they import tons of crap pretty regularly

If your in Orlando just call enjuku racing. They import and sell clips and I am sure they can get an auto for you. Plus you will save bigtime on the shipping...just have to pay tax :(

This is a long shot but thought i would ask. Since the only thing different between sr20 trannys and ka trannys is the bell housing, wouldnt all the performance parts fit in the sr transmission

i almost guarentee level ten could hook you up

I have automatic SR in my S13. Planning on getting Level 10 torque converter and valve body upgrade. Eventually will get the Shiftronic electronic controller to be able to upshift, lock torque converter and even downshift.

you should upgrade to level 10, you might be able to get the whole transmission from them, call them up. i know you can for a 240

Another plus to getting an SR with automatic is the fact that you know the motor isn't revved out because the transmission shifts around 6500 RPM max. My engine has never seen 7K plus RPM, at least not whle driving. Only way would be to rev it in neutral or park.

A level 10 transmission and a transmission with performance valve body and torque converter would feel very close to the same. Buying the TC and VB are great mods, many guys on altimas.net have done it and have been very happy wtih the way it performs. Don't forget a transmission cooler

We have a complete SR auto trans w/ lines but no auto engine for you, sorry. You need the Auto engine because I'm pretty sure there are extra or different sensors (TPS comes to mind).

Personally I give you props for chosing an auto sr20. Heck I am too.:D From what my research you would need to do these things. First is of course the torque converter. Level 10 I heard is okay for muscle cars but not imports. If you want the best I personally would go to JMOUSA.com they do all the top import cars with automatics. If I remember right they did a twin turbo supra with mad power. And trust me their prices are cheaper then Level 10. Also get the valve bodies and such. Once you get that done make sure you get oil and transmission coolers. Next would be the wastegate. From what I read you need to make sure the wastegate is either locked on a certain boost. I could be wrong. Because when you downshift the wastegate plays an important part in maintaining power on the turbo. I forget what you need to do to the wastegate but its important. And if you want to change your shfit points and make it better. Go to http://www.first-inc.co.jp/ they have a computer called the racing spec B made especially for automatics. It will give make you stay in lower gears longer for more power. It cost $350 and I think is well worth it.Just make sure you know someone who can tune it since it needs a laptop for that. When you get it done I'd like to see it. All this should make your auto a big rival against many cars.
