ok i hope this is the right forum for this topic. i did a search on the topic but no answers. i went to my local engine importer shop and they couldnt answer my question either. i need a new engine for my 95 240 Se auto. i dont want to get another KA24de because of the fact its going to be a high milage engine.since they dont come from japan. so my question is, is it possible to put the sr20det with my auto KA24de transmission. i want to leave the car automatic. if thats not possible then is there any other japanese engine i can put in my 95 and still keep it automatic? and will any other automatic transmission fit in my car. i just think it easier and cheaper to drop in another engine and transmission than to have it rebilt. any opinions will be greatly appreciated.

yea, the housing is the only thing that's different.

yea u will need an sr auto transmission housing. but what do u mean all ka's have high milage cuz they r in the us? go on car-part.com they have ka's with low milage. i have seen some sites with sr's that they are selling with 100,000mi on them.

for real??? where can i get my hands on one. cuz all the shops ive been to tell me they only come in manuel. does anyone recommend a good shop in the southern california area?
