My GF recently bought an automatic Versa S and I want to swap ou the knob for an aftermarket one. Does anyone know how to remove the OEM auto knob?

The one thing I like better about the Sentra...

Not so much the knob, I guess, but the placement.

Nice...

Not that this RAZO knob is particularly pretty but it's an auto knob, just need to know if the OEM Versa one can be removed or not

the razo will most likely work. just make sure you get a overdrive button. cause the versa has one of those right? basicly when it comes to shift knob with overdrive, you are limited to basicly that one shift knob and have to shell out 100+ for one.

Hmm.. I don't think I've ever seen a knob with an extra button for overdrive?

When would ever even turn that feature off? Actually I have not really even a clue what that is for haha.

The last two cars I've owned have been automatics with an overdrive button. Overdrive increases fuel efficiency at the cost of loss of torque. I prefer turning off overdive under around 40MPH. Gives you more power going up hills at lower speed. I don't think the CVT Versa has overdrive, but the standard automatic might.

that is one of two shift knob to my knowledge that has an over drive button option. they are rare and EXPENSIVE shift knob. 100+ for a knob is over kill.

without looking at a FSM (Factory Service Manual), I would assume with best judgement that you can slide down the lowest part of the knob, and there should be a screw passing thru knob/shifter. remove screw, slide knob up, but be wary of the wires that run down the shaft from the overdrive button.

That's good to know. I managed to find the knob pictured previously a bit cheaper, if anyone is interested.

I don't think he's saying it's broken. I believe he just wants a different one.

with automatic knobs, you have to be super sure of the shaft diameter/shape. almost every automatic shaft is not a round shaft. most are oval or rounded squares. when it comes down to it, unless you know for sure which fit, dont waste money trying to find out. unless of course theres a return policy.
