auto repair software?

ok so im not that auto repair savvy...i know all the basics and usually i just dive right in whatever i dont know but this Q45 intimidates me. Im gonna need some guidance and thats obviously why i signed up here but i need some guides, diagrams, etc. Has anyone purchased some software or signed up for one of those sites that breaks down all repairs with guides and diagrams? if so are they worth it? not sure if im allowed to say the names on here or not so i wont.

It's called read the previous posts. Read all by Q45tech.

A lot of the really helpful pictures on here have been lost, but the FSM has some good exploded diagrams.

About the best we can do is a copy of the FSM. Since most problems have already been discussed, searching and reading NICO posts to understand any issues you're having really is the best choice (along with a digital copy of the FSM that you won't go blind trying to read). If you still can't figure it out make a post and someone will point you in the right direction.

thank you for that link. where can i obtain a copy of the fsm? I never even knew that tech part existed, thank you. but a lot of it doesnt apply to my vehicle (at least i dont think so.) are most repairs on infiniti universal or close to it?

A 2002 Q is a pretty complex car and for sure unless you know what you're doing this is going to require a pro to help you get stuff done. The car has some issues that a search can probably show you, but if you take good care of it (regular fluid flush/changes) run good premium gas and do the required maintaince along the way you should be in pretty good shape. You might want to go to a dealership and see if the gas pedal was done under the recall, this will make a big difference in performance as the original one had some issues.

yea tell me about it..like i said..this car really intimidates me as far as repairs go. its funny you mention the gas pedal recall...i was just reading about that. move around so much never got notification of it ( military) so just recently hearing about it. Is it really that big of a diff?
