Recently I been seeing some auto-redirect ads on this forum which takes me to a fake Adobe Flash download site, which automatically download an exe file. Good thing my antivirus stop it before it can cause any harm to my computer. The problem is it redirect instantly when I open some page (probably the page when the ad is there) so I can't tell which one is causing the problem. Is there anyway to report that ad to your provider (Google I believe) so that no one will fall for it?

The guys here are just going to tell you that the problem is on your computer, because, well... it is.

You need to do a boot scan with a malware scanner and also with your virus program.

I know its not my computer because its only happen on this website, and I have a active antivirus software installed and scanned periodically. What I think the problem is one of the ads provided has a auto-redirect link which open the website once the ads is open. Its not this forum problem, but the problem with the ad provider.

We're looking into it right now. We've sent an e-mail over to the people that handle our ads here. Hopefully we'll have it sorted out soon. Thanks for bringing it to our attention.

Okay, well I'm not getting any re-direct ads... just FYI.

I've just tested most of them.

It doesn't happen everytime. I only see it twice so far, and both times my antivirus program blocked the page after it try to download something onto my computer automatically.
It could be that the ad provider already found the source and take it down since they probably got complain from other websites which uses their ads too.

Which browser are you running to get this error?

I'm asking because I'm testing some things and having inconsistent results.

That would be the first replication of what I'm seeing. Looks like Chrome is more susceptible to this redirect issue than IE or Firefox. Thanks for posting back. We're still looking into it.

Another one pop up today

Code: Select all

I took out the .be from the end of simplest-java-repair. Its a different url, but to the same website, and also tries to download file automatically.
Good thing Chrome ask me if I want to download any .exe file before starting.

Important browser update - is definatly an adware.
It is good to use things like Malwarebytes (http://www.malwarebytes.org) in addition to your antivirus
Malwarebytes is free and can remove any non-virus malware.
Malwarebytes helped me with fromdoctopdf, which I considered good - but it launched ads in browsers.

Chrome is by nature less secure than Firefox. IE and Chrome are arguable. Firefox isolates every tab and lets you turn off 3rd party cookies. Chrome doesn't. Google's business model is designed around sharing information. They will never 'fix' the 3rd party cookie issue.
