Hey guys, my 2014 QX50 has an auto recirculation feature for when there is odor outside of the car. It used to work really well and switch over before I even smelled diesel exhaust from big trucks. It has stopped ever switching over automatically. I found this thread with a lot of discussion, but there was never an answer https://www.infinitiq50.org/forum/probl ... ectly.html (other than for someone who couldn't turn it on with defrost).

I think that sensor needs to be cleaned. Does anyone know where it is?

With regard to the Quickclean system "
One of the most innovative and certain to be appreciated new technologies is the Quest LE's standard Advanced Climate Control System (ACCS) with Plasmacluster air purifier, Grape Polyphenol Filter and auto recirculation control. The system works three ways to help reduce allergens and unwanted odors within the Quest cabin. Its automatic intake control utilizes sensors to constantly monitor outside odors and automatically closes the intake port to prevent inflow of exhaust fumes or other unpleasant smells into the interior. >Maybe the sensor and Plasmacluster are inside the heater box? It seems like the sensor should be accessible, I'm guessing near the cabin air filter.
