Where can I get a manual bushing from? Does it cross reference to something in America?Carryl wrote:I had an 4wd automatic rb20, the auto bushing has to be removed completely and the manual bushing put in.
I'm pretty sure almost all Nissan pilot bushings from the same generation are the same. So goto the dealership and ask for a 300zx/240sx manual pilot bushing.Brennannn wrote:Where can I get a manual bushing from? That makes complete sense now. I was looking at my friend's RB26 the other night and it was recessed. Question is, where can I get one? What do I order it for? Not the pilot bushing, the outer bushing.ST240 wrote: I'm pretty sure almost all Nissan pilot bushings from the same generation are the same. And yes, the auto ones are different. They sit proud from the end of the crank by 1-2 mm, are a larger diameter and appear to be made of steel; whereas the manual ones are recessed by 12 mm into the crank and are made of brass.
The crank collar is in the front of the crank.eh? wrote:There's a collar on a auto crank that isn't there on a manual engine. You need to removed that. Get any nissan manual pilot bearing and install.
I have done this before, I'm not sure why you're getting hung up.
Maybe that's where I'm stuck..eh? wrote:No that is not what I'm talking about. This part is removable and extends out the back of the crank. All Auto RB25s will have this and will need to be removed. Did you remove this?
