i just read that post and it is quite undescriptive
these plates im refering to are black and thick metal. each has two bolts securing it to the side of the engine block, and two bolts that hook up to the bottom of the transmission
the metal plate im refering to is secured in by nothing at this point, and its only a cover
the drive plate is attached to the torque converter, but its also bolted to the crankshaft. it has the teeth on the outside of it for the starter to spin.
the torque converter does not need to come off, just the four bolts on that drive plate. just make sure you get those four bolts tight when you bolt it back up, or you will shake them loose as soon as you hit 5000 rpm. i even stripped one, luckally nissan has these bolts on hand and taps are cheap... and loctite... just torque everything correctly, dont do what donny dont does
