auto power window sw. repair

Thought i would share a power window sw. repair i did a few years ago on my car. The problem i had was the button pushes down for auto down and stayed there and the overload would trip on and off as it heated up and cooled down. The part in the sw. that raises the sw. to neutral position was broke so the sw. stays down. I took the spring out of a ink pen and cut off about 3/8 of a inch and placed it under the front of the sw. . Then heat up the end of a small screw driver and place over the bottom of the spring. This melts the spring to the top of the sw. housing to keep it in place . the sw. should work like new. Hope this helps someone.
