AUTO OPENING TRUNK KIT from Burtman Industries

I love my m45 but i cannot get into the trunk unless i open it when i am there to open it with my hand. The auto closing trunk feature closes it before i get to it if i pop it from in the car! pain in the ***.

I have one of the burtman struts in my garage that i'm not using. All yours for $ 40 shipped.

What the dealer gives you is a kit that just holds the trunk up AFTER you open it. Even if you get it fixed under warranty, it will never pop the trunk open automatically.

It realy isnt that bad. I still have the one strut if you like to try it.

lol maybe if the temp breaks 40 degrees! I'm worthless in cold weather, but seriously I'll give you a hand. Like I said, I have the single strut in my garage with the docs and you are more than welcome to take and try it out to see if it works for you. I had no luck with it. The single strut didn't allow my trunk to close flush. I've heard from other members that said the single strut worked like a champ, but not in my case. I may have simply done something wrong and ran out of patients, so.... I have to admit, the trunk did come up at least 8-12 inches as opposed to 1in and possibly re-attaching.

Not for 06+. I've tried to make it work, but have to do much more testing.
