I have researched and got the basic info on the speed sensor wires/plug and made sure it was plugged in and that is all correct. But I have no speedometer, all other gauges function. The lower harness is a jdm 5 speed harness(came with my swap) and the speed sensor on the transmission is the JDM one. Do I need to switch speed sensors? Will my auto KA sensor even work with it?

Any help appreciated.

Sensor needs to match the transmission/engine/cluster. If its a KA DOHC 5 speed transmission, then that's the sensor that is needed.

Cluster doesn't matter between the 2 auto or manual, cluster is fine.

Yes, should have calrified cluster matters between SOHC and DOHC.

It's sr20 speed sensor/sr20 engine/original cluster.. I haven't heard of people having to change clusters in a swap though.. is there a possibility the sensor is just no good/bad wiring? Just checking to make sure I am not overlooking a more simple fix!

DOHC cluster should be fine. Must be the sensor or wiring.

Yes it's a dual overhead cluster. I will check my wiring out today, I know it's all plugged in but that jdm harness was pretty "well used" looking so it could be wiring. Thanks for the help

Not for the speedo ...... I've had both. Didn't make a difference at all. Only the tach is different.

True, was thinking of the tach.
