ok, so I dropped a rebuilt motor, & did an auto to manual swap on my 92 240sx. And now my speedometer & odometer doesn't work (my tachometer, fuel and temp guages are all fine). I installed a new speed sensor, but no avail. I checked the wiring to the speed sensor, and it is plugged into the inhibitor switch through the manual transmission harness. I haven't messed with the wiring other than jumpering the one plug to make the car start. I have tested the two lines from the inhibitor switch that connect to the speedsensor wires, and they have voltage. There are no blown fuses. What could be wrong here??? does anyone know what the wires on the inhibitor switch are for? I looked on the auto to manual swap write up, and it sayes that the two wires that the speed sensor hooks up to are: one completes the circuit, and the other is for park. How can this be if the speed sensor wires plug in here?
