auto- manual help! no speedo or Reverse Lights!

ok, my buddy has a 1989 240sx auto - manual conversion w/ HUD. we just put the sr20det in it and the engine is running great! problem is we have no speedo or reverse lights. we are using the JDM transmission harness. I paired up the yellow/black and yellow/blue (there are 2 wires that are yellow and blue) for the speedo. and the green/blue and green/white wires for the reverse lights.. nothing. maybe since this is the jdm harness its a lil different? Please help me out asap. thanks!

does the climate control back light come on when the lights are turned on? if not theres a small white box behind the drivers side kick panel. the T.C.U. (timer control unit). this units main function is to control wiper timing but also effects the cluster and climate control back lighting. i have a spare one that i got when i bought one of a guy on here.

on the reverse lights..i have none also..but i dont have any conversion of any sort. they just stopped working.

thats for an s14. different then an s13 especially an 89.

The top connector with two female blade connections needs to be jumpered for the car to start. The third connector down from the top uses pins 3 & 8 for the backup lights. Switch pins 3&8 using the wiring from the backup light switch on the transmission.

This is from the writeup I used for 3 seperate swaps...all on S13's...2 90's and an 89. If I remember right this is dead on.
