Auto lock/unlock ???

According to the owners manual my 2009 Versa SL (with keyless entry) is supposed to have an auto lock/unlock feature that activated at 15 mph. But following the manual's instructions had no effect. Not did they for mt dealer on either my or another car.

Anyone's car have the feature? Any suggestions you could share?

2008 Versa SL does not have this feature, this must be new.

Yea, I have an '08 and the only "autolock" feature we have is if you unlock your doors, then don't open them for a certain period of time they will auto relock.

which is a royal pain when you go to get something from the car if you've been distracted for more than a minute

LOL yup! It confused the hell out of me for a minute. I unlocked my door and then started talking to my neighbor. We finished a few minutes later and I went to open my door and it was locked. I just stood there for a minute staring at my car going back in my memory to make sure that I DID unlock the car. Just to satisfy myself I unlocked the car and stood there waiting for it to relock....which it did...which in turn made me satisfied that I wasn't going insane!

I can't find auto lock feature in owner manual. This feature is documented in quick reference guide with 'if so equipped' description.I've tried my 09 Versa SL HB - CVT with ABS package, nothing happened.

My 2009 Versa SL HB w/CVT has the auto-lock when my speed goes over 30 km/h, and it auto-unlocks when I turn off the car. Yes also when you unlock the car and don't touch the doors for a long time, it will re-lock.

So maybe the "if so equipped" means this is a Canuk safety feature?... I didn't see it listed on the US site...

Could be. Cuz we Canucks have a tendency to fall out of our cars when we go over 30 kmh.
