auto lock and driver seat auto set is not working

My auto lock feature on my 94 Q45 recently stopped working. It used to lock once I put the car in drive and now it stopped. If I hit the button to lock all the doors lock but will not lock once I start to drive.

Also my automatic driver seat settings have stopped working. The seat used to open so I can get in the car when I opened the door and reset to my settings once I put the key in the ignition but now doesnt do it anymore. But I can still adjust the seat manually with the buttons.

What can cause these features to stop working all of a sudden?

Did you check the cancel switch on the side of the steering column next to the "joystick" that controls the steering column adjustments?

There is also a reset procedure for the ADPC (automatic driver position control) located at the end of this thread 94-q45-plenum-rocker-covers-struts-and- ... t9818.html

I'm not sure that the automatic door locking feature is controled by the same function... in fact I didn't know the later Q even had this from the factory. I have it as a feature in my aftermarket alarm.

I think the J30 keyless entry system has that from the factory (Alpine). But the jumper needs to be moved accordingly to enable it.

I have had my 94 base Q45 since 1997 and I do not remember it autolocking when I put it in drive or at any other time. It does not do it now and I may have forgotten that it once did, but I sure don’t remember it.
