Auto Healing Paint

Discussion of Infiniti's amazing (and underrated) sport-luxury crossovers, the EX35 and EX37. For 2014, the EX series will be renamed QX50, in line with Ininfiit's new naming conventions.

How is the auto healing paint on your vehicle? Does it really 'auto' heal from swirl marks / light scratches? What if you wax / polish afterwards will that 'prevent' the effects of the auto paint healing?

Waxing won't do anything to the paint. While I don't have a EX I don't notice quite as many marks on the paint as I did with previous cars. Maybe I'm just lucky or it's because my car is white and does not show as much.
