Auto Ecu work??

i can get my hands on a 94 vert auto DOHC ecu for free and i was wondering if it will work with my 92 DOHC 5spd....i need to send out an ecu to get tuned, is why im asking

I asked Chris over at RS-Enthalpy about the ecu, and this is what he said,

"These cars use a separate auto trans controller, so the ECUs really don't care what transmission is strapped to them."

yeah it will run the car but it will throw a CEL. you can drive on it fine till you get your ecu back.

alright....cool thats what i intended to do....will my idle be affected at all??
