so i remember reading (but can't now find it) that if you put the auto ecu in your manual you get better gas milage and the rev limiter is slightly changed and you take the speed limiter off.

i got an auto ecu yedterday, plugged it in- car runs fine no probs and even feels like a fatter power curve but i ran it up to 100+ today and it hit cutout like normal @~117.

so what gives?

Put in a auto ecu in a manual

it won't help mpg and you may expereince startup issues sometimes. Also on OBDII I know it makes the ECU throw CEL. Why do you need to go 100+ is this a track car? If so, then you could just disconnect the speel limiter or get a standalone unit. If you are going 100+ on public roads please hit a tree before you kill anyone.
