KPTechnologies. They also make a ton of other small gizmos to do certain things.TDot wrote:No, but there is an aftermarket modification that you can get to do it. Dont remember who sells it, so google.
I can't work out what you meant by 'heavy reps'. Automatic or manual, there are no more reps than normal. You unlock, get in, and lock. There would be one extra 'unlock' with the auto feature when you put the gear box into park, but that's certainly not a cause for alarm or worry. It's not as if the auto-lock is going to repeat itself over and over.bluedevil30 wrote:If you are going to have a car for a long time I wouldn't install that. The heavy reps on a door lock actuator will cause them to fail and they aren't cheap to fix. I wish there was an option to shut this feature off in the 2009 M.
I'm not driving around in bad neighborhoods. I can honestly say I would rarely lock the door while I am driving. I'm not worried about being carjacked or accidentally opening my door and falling out. I never understood this feature. Why do they have it?Larz wrote:I can't work out what you meant by 'heavy reps'. Automatic or manual, there are no more reps than normal. You unlock, get in, and lock. One word: Kids. Although, even at 40mph it takes me, a full grown man, a decent amount of 'oomph' to open a car door. No child would be able to force a door open with that amount of air going over it.bluedevil30 wrote: I'm not driving around in bad neighborhoods.
