Hey guys, just wanted to post this info for folks that don't know it... all 2009 Altima Coupes have the audo door lock feature offered in the KP technologies group buy.

Also, most aftermarket alarms come with the feature as well. I know all of the Autopage alarms have this feature, and so do the prestige, viper, Clifford, Python, and Hornet alarms.

basicly, on the alarms, after you start your engine, the doors will automatically lock a few seconds after, and will automatially unlock when you shut your engine off. In addition, the aftermarket alarms can be programmed to automatically lock and arm again after you close the doors (say 30 seconds after the doors close) which is a really good feature since we can't lock our keys in our cars anyway with the I-key!

Just thought I'd put this so folks don't order anything that's redundant (i.e. purchase a door lock module and then go get an aftermarket alarm with this feature)

For the record, I'm glad KP came through and I think their modules are a very good thing to have if you don't already have these features on your alarm.

.. Oh yes, one last thing, for the folks that miss out on the group buy, don't fret, the aftermarket alarms can also be programmed to roll up your windows and sunroofs also!

If the guy at your shops programs it for me... will it be extra?

Every alarm upgrade usually costs because they are actual modules that need to be purchased (similar to the KP technologies one) and extra labor .. you're looking at an extra $150 parts and labor for that (I'm on the phone with my install guy right now)

you have to be more specific... for example

Autopage C3RS-727, Remote Start w/ LCD pager remote alarm system, 1/4 mile range.. + the module so that you don't have to give up your factory fob : $449.99 cash out the door.. more if you pay with credit card (tax only)

if you want the module to roll up both your windows using the remote, add $150 parts and labor

Rob... what if I still use the black and white pager... but get one that has a mile range?

I think you said the nice color pager with mile range was like 600+.

It doesn't work like that with autopage... only certain remotes work with certain alarms.. they aren't interchangeable!

Everybody wants to go to heaven... but nobody wants to pray!
