Auto Dimming Mirror - Normal?

I have a question about the auto dimming mirror in my new G37S. The auto dimming functionality seems to work at times, and not work at others. The color seems greenish when it's working, but other times I'm seeing fairly bright lights in it - mostly those of cars with normal vs. xenon bulbs. Is this normal, or should I get it checked out? I would think that a normal operating mirror would have the greenish tint in it when car lights were present. I'm sure it has a lot to do with the amount of contrast, but some cars seem too bright for me.

Are your windows tinted? My mirror acts like that on my 35. But my windows are tinted to 20%. I don't think it did that until after I had them tinted.

Seems to depend on how much light is hitting the sensor and the time of day. I'm used to it as I have the mirror in my 2k2 Maxima as well.

I had thought the same thing. I only have the tinting that comes from the factory. There's definitely a lot more tinting on the windows compared to my old Maxima.

It seems to be a little possessed. When I see cars at a distance, the feature works fine. When those cars get closer, it seems to dissipate somewhat for the same car. Seems very strange to me since I would think it would kick in more as the other cars got closer. I'm going to wipe it down to make sure there isn't any hidden film on it.
