Auto Crossmember on a Manual transmission?

Hey guys i'm wrapping up a 5 speed swap on an S-13 i just don't have a 5 speed crossmember yet.

I saw this when i was searching the forums "you can flip an auto trans cross member and install on manual transmission. Problem is only 2 bolts will fit. I've seen some people doing that."

I wouldn't plan on doing this permanently just for a couple days with very little driving until i get a 5 speed crossmember.

Has anyone ever done this? Do you think it would be ok?

just find a 5spd part out. I think the auto member slopes the other way, but I am sure with slight modification it'd work.

if ya wanna go all mad scientist on it then make ur own crossmember if you can cut and weld

i done a 5 speed swap on my s13 and the crossmember was completely different so i dont think it would

Don't do it, I actually forced one to fit, but it pulled the motor and trans back far enough that the drive shaft would not go in. Long story on that one.

But, just be patient and get the right cross member.
