auto console same as 5 speed console???

well i did the 5 speed swap and i'll i need is the trip piece around the shifter....however will i have to buy a whole new console since mine is for an automatic? Are the consoles interchangeable? I KNOW IT IS A NEWB ? SORRY

r u talking about if u need a completely new black surround? autos have an extra piece around the shifter that can be taken off for a manual.

thanks yangs13 but i found a goos price on a new shifter boot and shifter benzel...i just need to know if it will fit in the auto console...bc i really don't have money to buy a 5 speed console

the actual consoles are the same just the shifter trim needs to be swapped.

, i have an s13 auto to manual swapped 240 and it will fit, i also have a short shift hit though, so this is a third opinion just to confuse you. j/k
