Well, I know Nissan Australia brought in 100 units total from '93 to '97.All for the eastern states...They sold for $147,000 new, so mostly bought by well to do people, typically of the elderly persuasion. (What cashed up youngster would want a luxury Nissan???)Then add the imports.....
I would say, by process of crash eliminations, and not many importers touching the infiniti, that there would be around 100 registered/running units on Australian roads.....I know of 7 total in SA, there may be a couple more lurking.... but I doubt it.
When I bought mine, there were 2 others in the importers car yard.1 wasn't running, and the other had "timing chain noise"I bet they both had the issue with the guides breaking.I know the non-running one was bought by a wrecker... so that one never got to touch the road again. The other may have been bought, then died.Sorry, but we definitely have a rare car on our hands here. Appreciate it everyday....
How often do you get asked "What the hell is that dude?"Then have to explain where it came from and so on?
I am thinking about getting business cards made so everytime I get asked, I can just hand them the card and be done with it!
