Autoweek and Autosport have confirmed that Bernie Ecclestone has signed an agreement to bring F1 back to the U.S. in Austin, TX. The contract includes a brand-new, purpose-built road race facility in Austin and would start in 2012 with a nine year run through 2021. This is totally unexpected as everyone from Indy to NJ was vying for the rights.
