Post

Hey all my appologies for my first post being full of questions, But i have been trawling these forums for the last couple of weeks and havent really been able to find the details i have been looking for .

First of all i have a FGY33 Cima with the vh41 engine . - Half Cut, Which im wanting to put in a Navara King cab ute.

My questions are The Cima has a nasty all in one climate control / stereo setup . It only has a tape deck in it . Also it doesnt work anyway the screen lights up but thats it. Im wondering if i can get some sort of plug-in system that will control the aircon etc ? maybe out of a later car or something .

Next question .. Does anyone know where i could get a Dash for this i have looked everywhere ? it would need to be in km/ph ?

question 3 . I cant seem to find a instruction manual with the exact model . For instance the right hand drive jap cima .

I will post up some pictures .. If people are unsure of what stereo etc im talking about .

Any help would be much appreciated !

Cheers

For those here who aren't aware, the Navara is the Frontier here in the US.

What generation of Navara is it you're planning to put the VH in? There's a member here with a D23 with a VH under the hood. Check out the VH engine forum a little further down the main forum page.

For climate control, I don't see why you can't continue using the Navara's stock setup. The only thing that will change is the A/C compressor, which will still be there unless you remove it from the VH. Many Nissan climate control modules are interchangeable, though (even manual to auto or vice-versa) so you're not necessarily stuck with the Navara's if you're looking to upgrade.

And welcome to the forum!

oops maybe this should be moved to the engines forum ? but technically its sort of half a car :P

Thanks for the reply mate Its actually going into a d21 . Which is fairly old skool . But we were hoping to swap the dash etc into the d21 also . So we were hoping to use the whole harness from the cima hence why i need the instiment cluster and some way of controling aircon etc . So we could get rid of the all in one navigation setup ?

Cheers

Yeah, I'm sure there's some Nissan model or another that's contemporary to the Cima that'll have a manual or non-nav climate control you can use. Probably even the Cima itself came with lesser climate control options.

It'd definitely be cool to see the Cima dash in the D21. Vast upgrade over stock.

LOL !!!! You have no idea ! --- my last project was a CE Lancer ( i think you call them mirages) standard atw make around 50 kw after i was finished with a turbo and engine upgrades it was running 180 kw atw ... Problem was couldnt drive it because it would continually smoke the front tyres haha ...
