Anyone know when the August incentives will come out? The Nissan homepage still has the incentives ending July 31st. I'm picking up (and paying for) my 2007 Versa on Saturday, and I'm hoping that they will give some greater incentive on the 2007 models.

I broke down and called the dealer. Incentives have not changed for August. According to the latest sales figures, it looks like the Versa is doing quite well. Oh well... at least the incentives didn't get worse.

I was about to post a reply to this.

The B-segment market is really hot right now, between gas prices and the fact that we've now got a good selection of different models in the US now. I wouldn't expect any killer rebates on Vs for at least one more, if not two more years.

Not that a $500 rebate in addition to low APR financing is a bad deal... remember, MSRP is only about $1000 more than invoice on this car.

I was surprised when we bought my daughter her Versa on July 31 that they took off as much as they did. Besides the $500 rebate and $500 recent graduate discount they took off another $250 and also give a free lifetime powertrain warranty. And this was on a car which they'd traded for, so they don't even get the holdback. (Of course, being last day of the month with new models coming out and nine 2007 Versas on the lot didn't hurt!)

Most of the dealers I deal with keep the holdback on the outgoing unit. That is why they like to send out a loaded one for a cheaper one.

Didn't realize that. This dealer just brought in the nine Versas, so maybe they traded out more expensive Sentras or something else. Oh well, I'm still pretty happy with the deal she got, even if they came out better than I'd thought!

July auto sales just came out, not likely to see an increase in incentives for Nissan, here's why:

G.M. down 19.1 percent

Ford down 16.7 percent

Chrysler down 4.6 percent

Toyota down 3.5 percent

Honda down 3.2 percent

Nissan UP 5.9 percent.

NissanUSA website has been updated.

No incentives listed. Graduate discount still available.

But it does say "We are currently updating this page with August offers" so it may yet return. I hope Versajoe's dealer is right, because I just sent another friend to check out the Versa, and told her about the $500 rebate through August. I'd sure hate to see her settle for a Matrix!
