Anyone know if there is a part # for the rear audio video input cable or we can purchase this item?

If your talking about behind the arm rest (06 M35) they should be just regular RCA hook ups, that's what I have and what are you wanting to hook up to that outlet?I hooked up my ipod to it. You can get a cable that has RCA to the ipod pretty much on any ipod accessory site.

I need the factory inputs. My ride didnt come with that but looking at the FSM it has the connection for it. If I can get that connection I can hook my sirius/mp3 thru that connection for the time being. Im going to install the JL Clean Sweap with a 6 channel amp and door speakers with small 8w7 down the road though.

Nice!FYI when you get your sub you might want to get a overdrive unit becauseif you use your factory radio like I did the sound wont be as loud as you think at least it wasn't for me. I bought a 12in kicker comp and 300 fosgate amp and it barely had bass coming though the trunk! so i had to upgrade and get a overdrive unit hooked up to a new 600watt amp and jl audio w6. also i noticed that the ipod sounds even less then cd's. Dont know what kind of music you listen to, but just something to think about if your getting a 8inch sub. Good luck!

I just installed a single Polk 12" woofer driven by 300 watt rms Kenwood amplifier and it made a HUGE difference in terms of low end sound quality and thump. The system sounds 300% better. I am very satisfied with the results. I also added a wired bass knob for the amp which I can control from the drivers seat (a absolute must in my opinion).

It's a decent quality subwoofer ($200) rated at 350 watts rms. The amplifier costed $150. About another $75 in misc. materials and amp kit. In a nutshell mine cost $450. Not cheap but also not way expensive.

I don't think 8 inches is going to cut the mustard. At least 10 inches or two of them. One good 12" will do the trick though.

Adding sound proccesors are really, really nice but be prepared to pay.

I dont know what a overdrive is but Im gonna run the entire Clean sweep from JL. You have to use the outputs after the Bose if you that pkg. The Clean sweep is suppose the boost the signal and give a 7V preout. Yes I just wanted a clean install and not too loud. Just want a clean sound. I may go two 8s.

If you have the "basic" system which is a (6) speaker system-then you have components up front (4 speakers), and presumably coaxials in the rear.

Cleansweep is a very sweet way to go (but expensive). You won't need Overdrive. You will however need a 4 channel amplifier for your fronts. Be sure to get a 4 channel amplifier that has built has built in crossovers. Such as this one... http://mobile.jlaudio.com/prod...d=437

Then you won't have to worry about external crossovers and can run the output of the amplifier directly to the door woofers and door tweeters. The JL Audio 300/4 has built in high and low pass filters. High pass for the tweets and low pass for the woofers.

You can just drive the rears off the original setup. You will also need a amplifier for your subwoofer. If money isn't a problem grab this amplifier... http://mobile.jlaudio.com/prod...d=439

This my friend, tuned properly, would sound awesome!

Also, seriously consider a (1) good 12 inch woofer (about $200).

Let me add this after some education. "onlinecarstereo.com" has awesome prices.

I did find this http://www.onlinecarstereo.com...18627

This 8 inch speaker has a very low frequency response--especially for a 8" inch speaker. A unbelievable 28Hz. I did not know this was possible. Only needs a a very small box sealed. Only $300 for two! The only thing that is painful is the efficiency. All the reason to grab two.

A great idea afterall--go with two and at least 300 watts clean rms. Like the 500/1.

Not a bad way to go afterall!!!

To the clean sweep you have to go through the bose amp. This come from JL tech. The clean sweep cleans the sound up. That why they are so expensive. Built it EQ. Im gonna run 6.5s for the doors and two 8 w7s with a 300/4 and a 500/1 amps. But back on topic anyone know if I can get the OEM inputs?
