Anybody can recommend an aftermarket unit that will work as a replacement? Wherever I've looked, they dont support if you have the factory NAV.
wanted to see if anybody got a good solution. Hate to change my lovely G just because i want a modern infotainment system

so if we install the vline, does it do the following?
1. make use of steering wheel controls
2. show the rear view camera which direction lines
3. display the climate control functions/status when making changes to the AC/Heat/etc... (currently, adjusting temp/blower shows up on the display
4. Integrate fully with the built in microphone.

Sorry for the delay with the answer.
1. Yes VLine fully integrates with steering wheel controls.
2. If you have the factory rear view camera it will keep working. It is possible to add the rear view camera to VLine as well as extra functionality (in development), but no directional lines.
3. Yes factory AC/Heat controls will keep working.
4. VLine comes with its own microphone, it will not integrate with factory. However it will not disable factory mic.
