My music has been sounding really weird lately and I couldn't figure out why. Radio sounded fine but whenever I used the AUX it sounded like s***. Anyways I discovered the very tip of my AUX cable has broken off inside the dash, making it impossible to plug in another aux cord all the way, hence the crappy sound. Any of you guys have some ideas how to get it out?
This is as far as i've gotten with it, too scared to dig any deeper lol

take the stereo out of the dashboard.
pretty easy and probably could have saved the trouble of taking the small aux faceplate off too and trying to dig it out lol

put a little bit of crazy clue on the end of something skinny that would fit in there and then let it stick and then pull it out...

if you're lucky, this could work, but if you're not, the superglue could permanently glue whatever is stuck onto the aux jack. if that happens, the only way to fix it would be to then take the stereo out, disassemble the stereo faceplate, remove the audio jack from the circuit, and disassemble that small black plastic audio jack to try and break the glue or resolder a new audio jack onto the stereo circuit board

Since you only have the basic head unit....just buy a new/used head unit if you can't the problem.

hey guys sorry for the late response! I appreciate the ideas. Tinkered with it for a few days and ultimately decided to take seldomseen's advice and take the easy way out...and I'm glad I did. I've had this in my closet for a year or so from my old car and forgot about it lol $60 at cartoys later and the problems fixed. My system sounds sooo much better and I can adjust the EQ.
