:help

I don't really know of any friendly Forums that I won't get flamed on and I know we have some SQ/SPL guys here. I am looking for the best subwoofer/s either 12 or 15. At http://www.cardomain.com I have looked into the 15 inch Audiomobile Evo-R and the Crystal CMPX2, they both seem to be equal except in price. The Evo-R is $350 and the CMPX2 is $500.

I have read the reviews but would like to know other peoples opinions that aren't possibly whoring the company. These seem to be the best 15s, but if there are better ones let me know.

I also wouldn't mind getting two 12s for equal or better performance at around the same price of the 15s if anyone can recommend some.

The 15' Audiomobile Evo-R - http://www.sounddomain.com/sku/ADMEVOR2315 The 15' Crystal CMPX2 - http://www.sounddomain.com/sku/CRYCMPX215

Thanks :ylsuper

Out of those 2 subs I would strongle recommend the Crystal. I have been an IASCA SQ Judge for 4 years, If you want some help trying to figure out the best band for your buck, I have a caraudio irc server, or you can hit me up on aim, its a bit easier to converse about this subject that way.

The CMPX2 can handle way more power than the Evo-r. I owned a pair of the crytal cmp 15s (not the cmpx2). They were sealed, with about 700 watts rms to each. Awesome sound quality and got pretty loud. I would only imagine that the CMPx2 would be worlds better. You can get better subs for that kind of money. Try looking up Beyond Audio Inhumans, Adire audio Brahmas, or Resonant Engineering XXXs. All three are awesome subs and are not too expensive(for high end subs) around the 400-500 range. And make sure you have enough power. These subs can handle around 1200-1800 watts rms.

Im not a judge, or anything like that, but i would get Memphis or Eclipse. . . . I like those alot. My roomy has two memphis HPO 12's in a ported box runing off a memphis 1000D amp. He pushes about 152db (yes, thats metered) Thats about as loud as you can listen continuously. Somtimes we have to turn it off tho bc of physical pain. . . . Flash

Go with infinity kappa perfect 12.1. I have two on my trunk and the sound is the cleanest I ever heard. Also the excursion is way more than most subs and they don't need that much power, which means less alternator trouble in the future. I only have 650 for both and I haven't had it past half way yet.

Edit. Don't ask how I got them in there. I'm not too sure myself. I was missing about 2 inches when I started to shove them in...

Didnt mention the elemental cause I havent heard them and I dont know much about them. Other people have said nothing but good things, and the price tag is pretty low.

And the comment about the Audiobahns...the only people who defend audiobahn are the people who own them. Their affraid to admit that they are pieces of s***. My boy found out the hard way, he had to get his replaced several times. Install was good, they just cant handle the rated rms.

first off the pharcyde is the greatest rap group in the history of the earth, with the exeption of public enemy, so props on your name. yeah dude all my little rich friends run audiobahnst, they are attracted to shiney objects. I think they are fine if you want pure spl, that sounds awful, but ive had farts with better sq. You really need to hear the ek's man. I dont know if you remember but i was searching for subs to replace my shivas and these are deafenately it. Great sq and spl in a sealed or ported enclosure.

If my 2 cents are worth anything, I would strongly recommend either three subs. One the JL Audio 12 W3 with the JL Audio 250 watt monoblock amp. Or tryiing the JL 12 W7 with a bigger JL amp. Next would be an Alpine Type R sub with a V12 amp. I personnaly run a JL W3 with a kicker zr120. I have it monoly "sp?" birdged and am pushing only about 100watts but the sound quality is awsome and it is plenty loud. Good luck.
