I have a Nissan altima 2.5S and i'm putting in a 1000 watt duel 12" enclosed sub with a 1000 watt amp. But many people i know have a capacitor too. Is it nesseccary to have one?

There has been many debates on capacitors. If you upgrade your grounds, get a dry cell battery (like an Optima), you probably won't need a capacitor. If you search on the internet, you will see the many debates. I have 2000 watts running in my Altima, and with my yellow top Optima, and upgrading the factory grounds, and running 4-gauge wire for my power lead, my headlights flicker when I'm really cranking up the system.

yeah. I decided to get a capacitor because i only have my amp wired with 8 gauge and i don't want my alternator to die. Thanks for the advice though.
