Audio Question: MP3s

hey guys, I bought a new Canadian SL base model last friday and this is my first car that can read MP3s.

I connected my MP3 player to the aux input and everything worked well but when I tried to insert a CD with MP3s on it, the CD came out with a "NO AUDIO CD" error on the display.

Am I doing something wrong or is it not possible?

Sorry, base models inc. SL trim did not get MP3 playback. You need the 'mid-level' stereo (6disc changer and steering wheel controls) that is on the Premium Pack or the BOSE stereo from the Leather Pack to play MP3 CD's.

Not to hi-jack this thread or anything, but, I got the Bose system with the SL Premium package but no leather. Just wondering if that's a Canada/US difference with the packages. Thanks.

Yes, there are significant differences in the packages between Canada and the US. In Canada we only get the BOSE system on leather pack models.
