I recently purchased a used 2009 Murano SL - have had some issues with the vehicle since, but nothing I would consider major, more annoyances than anything else. I personally love the performance and amenities, coming from a Honda 2002 CR-V.

From what I understand after reading other forum posts, the 2009 SL does not come with the iPod cables standard; however, when I purchased the vehicle I had both types of iPod cables already installed in the center console (not the aux for the video on the back of the console), and my iPod worked the minute I plugged it in - I noticed that it was tuned to SAT1 but said IPOD on the channels on the right-side of the screen. I never bothered with the SiriusXM satellite radio at first, just listened to my iPod. I also don't have a nav system, if that makes a difference.

The latest annoyance came after the battery went dead in the vehicle (I didn't drive it for over a month due to travel, so I wasn't too shocked to come back to a dead battery). Once I got the battery jumped, my iPod was no longer recognized by the system, but the SiriusXM radio now came through over SAT1/2. No matter how many buttons I pushed or knobs turned, the iPod just wouldn't be recognized at all, no iPod option when pressing the AUX button or radio band button (yes, the iPod was turned on and playing while I was trying to get this working). After listening, I decided to sign up for SiriusXM and forego the iPod. However, yesterday, out of the blue, my iPod was then recognized by the car, and when I switch over to SAT1/2, all I get is the default SiriusXM stations of 0/1, as with the initial satellite radio preview that came with the car. I've talked to SiriusXM, and they state my subscription is active and even sent a signal to my car to "renew" things, but no dice.

To clarify further, when I hit the AUX button and then turn the Tune/radio band button, I see IPOD/SAT1 --> AUX1 --> AUX2 --> SAT2, etc. Ideally I'd like to have both the iPod recognized and be able to listen to Satellite Radio also, but (outside of running the battery dead again) at this point I'd also take having it *not* recognize the iPod and only give me the Satellite Radio. Any ideas?

Welcome to the Murano Forum! Sorry to hear about the issue. I have absolutely no answer for you on that one, I have not come across that at all. Just for comparison sake have you tried a different ipod or iphone? I would check with the dealer as well and see if they have any ideas. I assume you read over the manual already. I will keep you posted if I find something out here. Lets keep our fingers crossed.

Just to clarify, are you plugging this into the iPod Interface???
